Concert of Thanksgiving
A Letter from Celeste:
Dear Friends and Family,
Well, we’re doing it again!
Please join us on Sunday, November 21st at the Westacres Clubhouse (3700 Westacres Drive, West Bloomfield, MI 48324) for our Third Annual Concert of Thanksgiving in honor of the N.O.A.H. Project. Doors open at 1:00 pm. Music will start at 1:30 pm, and will again be provided by our beloved Stefan (of course!), the wonderful Josh White, Jr., and several other amazingly talented musicians including Cliff Gracie, Skeeto Valdez, and Elaine Serling.
A small group of us started the N.O.A.H. Project twelve years ago. Our goal was to help the chronically homeless leave the streets and engage with local services providers who can help them find housing and other needed services. Housed at Central United Methodist Church in downtown Detroit, we serve over 25,000 lunches each year, and provide bus tickets, hygiene kits, blankets, crisis care, and many other services to over 1,000 homeless men, women, and children. In these challenging economic times, the number of homeless is increasing and resources continue to be scarce.
Please RSVP by Friday, November 12th. Also, feel free to invite others you think may be interested, but ask them to RSVP as seating is limited.
If you cannot attend but would like to make a donation, please make your check out to The N.O.A.H. Project and send it to me at the address below. If you cannot afford to make a donation at this time, please come anyways - you know we would love to see you. It will be a joy to launch the holiday season with you and reflect on our many blessings while reaching out to those in need.
Love,
Celeste
