Case Management

A Partner, An Advocate, A Friend

“How do I get into housing?” “How can I get my State ID?” “Where is the closest shelter?”

Every day, NOAH case managers field questions like these as they help clients navigate a complex journey to stability. Case Management (like all services at NOAH) is available without qualifications or restrictions and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis to 20 individuals Monday through Thursday beginning at 10:30am.

Case Management at NOAH provides:

  • Referrals for food, clothing, and shelter
  • Support in navigating the process to gain housing
  • Transportation assistance
  • Aid in gaining identification such as birth certificates and State IDs
  • Assistance in accessing substance abuse services

Mmmm... Something smells good! Our Cooking Matters Class, hosted by Gleaners Food Bank, has begun and our participants are loving it. Cooking Matters is a 6 week course that teaches basic cooking skills, meal planning on a budget, and the importance of a balanced diet. Today, our class learned how to make "Cheesy Hamburger and Veggie Skillet"

Yesterday, we had the privilege of sharing our lunch hour with a group of college students from Saginaw Valley State University. These students were all from various health and human services programs, such as nursing, social work, and health care administration.

In our lunch discussion, our staff shared the stories that happen here at NOAH and the services that we offer so that these students might gain a glimpse of the joys and challenges that they will find in these fields.

We love to share the stories of transformation and change that happen at NOAH, and how you can be a part of that story. Contact us at info@noahprojectdetroit.org to schedule a date for us to come speak at your church, mosque, school, or civic group.
